To shape the future fire fighters of America. To set an example around our community and school settings. To be the Best we can be.

What the Explorers Do

The Apex Fire Department Explorer Post provides an opportunity for 14 to 17 year-olds to get a hands-on introduction to the fire service. They hold regular training and meetings, ride the fire trucks and participate in emergency incidents under the supervision of their advisors, senior firefighters and officers. On emergency scenes, they can participate in just about any activity for which they have been trained, except for going inside a burning building.

Becoming a Member?

Are you are interested in being a Explorer with the Apex Fire Department? If you are please stop by Station 3 (located on Hunter St. in Apex) and ask for an application. We would love to have you as an Explorer. If you are unable to get to the station then email me at apexfirepup@bellsouth.net and we can see what we can do.
